Solar Panel Recycling
Responsible recycling of end-of-life, used, and damaged solar panels with recovery certificates across Europe.
Authorized Solar Panel Recycling Facility
End-of-Life PV Modules Recycling

Aerisoul provides professional recycling solutions for end-of-life, damaged and used photovoltaic (PV) modules. We manage the process from collection and transportation through recycling and material recovery, helping solar companies responsibly manage PV waste across Europe.

Our goal is to recover valuable materials from solar panels, reduce waste and support a more circular solar industry.

Solar panels are designed for long-term use, but eventually they reach the end of their first life and need to be reused, recycled or otherwise responsibly managed. Proper PV recycling helps prevent unnecessary waste and allows valuable materials to be recovered.

End-of-life solar panels can present several challenges:

- Growing volumes of solar waste as older PV installations are replaced or decommissioned

- Loss of valuable materials such as glass, aluminum, copper, silver and silicon

- Unnecessary disposal in landfills when materials could instead be recovered and returned to the supply chain

Recycling end-of-life solar panels helps reduce waste while recovering materials that can be used in further industrial processing. By keeping materials such as glass, aluminum, copper, silicon, and silver in circulation, PV recycling supports a more circular solar industry.

Our Approach to Solar Panel Recycling

As an authorized photovoltaic (PV) recycling and recovery facility, Aerisoul supports the solar industry with the collection and recycling of end-of-life, used and damaged solar panels across Europe in accordance with EU regulations and the WEEE directive.

Every solar recycling project has different requirements depending on the type, condition, quantity and location of the PV modules. We assess these factors to determine the most suitable collection, transportation and processing solution for each project.

PV Recycling Process & Material Recovery

Our dedicated photovoltaic recycling line separates the main material fractions contained in end-of-life solar modules, including glass, aluminum, copper, silicon, silver and polymers.

Through a combination of mechanical and specialized processing, the different components and material fractions are separated, sorted and prepared for further refining to be finally returned to industrial supply chains for manufacturing new products.

Our recycling process is designed to maximize material recovery, reduce residual waste and support a more circular photovoltaic industry.

Our Solar Panel Recycling Process
solar-loading
Step One:
Collection & Transportation
We coordinate the collection and transportation of end-of-life, damaged and used solar panels from solar farms, warehouses and other project sites. Our team manages the logistics and required waste documentation for transportation.

Step Two:
PV Module Recycling
The collected solar modules are processed through our dedicated photovoltaic recycling line, where the main material fractions are separated and recovered. These include materials such as glass, aluminum, copper, silicon, silver, and other components.

Step Three:
Recycling & Recovery Certification
For incoming solar modules, we provide a certificate of recovery documenting the treatment and recycling of the photovoltaic panels. This gives clients documentation and proof of disposal for their records and waste-management requirements.
What Types of Solar Panels Do We Accept?

Aerisoul currently accepts and recycles crystalline silicon (c-Si) solar panels, including both monocrystalline (mono) and polycrystalline (poly) modules. We accept panels regardless of condition, including broken, damaged, defective, or end-of-life modules. Whether the panels are intact or damaged, they can be recycled.

Accepted Solar Panels:
• Monocrystalline (Mono) silicon panels
• Polycrystalline (Poly) silicon panels

Solar Panels We Currently Do Not Accept:
• Thin-film solar panels
• Cadmium Telluride (CdTe)
• Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS)
• Amorphous Silicon (a-Si)

If you are unsure which type of solar panel you have, contact our team and we can help you determine whether your panels are suitable for recycling.

Solar Farm Repowering, Decommissioning & Recycling

We support utility-scale solar projects including repowering, renovation, and decommissioning, managing the removal, packing, transportation, and recycling of replaced or end-of-life PV panels and equipment.

Our end-to-end solution covers the deconstruction, packing, collection, logistics, and responsible recycling of PV modules, inverters, transformers, switchgears, cables, and other electronic and electrical equipment. Whether you are upgrading an existing solar installation or decommissioning a site at the end of its operational life, our team helps project owners efficiently manage equipment removal and material recovery while keeping projects on schedule.

Yes. We provide solar panel recycling and collection services throughout Europe. For large-scale projects, we can also discuss recycling solutions outside Europe depending on the project requirements.
Yes. Our logistics team can coordinate the collection and transportation with the necessary waste transport documentation from all countries within the European Union.
The modules should be securely packed and protected against movement and breakage during transportation. Palletized shipments secured with appropriate straps are required.
The customer is responsible for loading the solar panels onto the truck at the collection site. The modules should be properly prepared, packaged and ready for loading when the vehicle arrives. Our team can provide guidance on loading requirements and transportation arrangements in advance.
Yes. After the recycling process, Aerisoul issues a certificate of recovery for incoming solar modules. This provides documentation that the photovoltaic waste has been appropriately processed and recycled.
Currently, we accept and recycle crystalline silicon based solar modules including mono and poly-crystalline.
Currently, we do not accept thin-film modules including Cadmium Telluride (CdTe), Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS), and Amorphous Silicon (a-Si).
The cost depends on factors such as the number and type of modules, their condition, collection location, transportation requirements, and overall project scope. Contact Aerisoul with your project details to receive a tailored quotation.
